Task-focused resource comparison

10 Resources for Reviewing Open-Trade Risk

A concurrent-risk review combines your assumptions with trade records and knowledge of stop-order mechanics. The services below can support those pieces, but their documented roles do not establish that your aggregate plan is an enforceable risk limit.

Start with the task: Add your planned stop-loss amounts across open trades in one currency.

Five questions to compare

Criterion 1

Own risk assumptions

Planned losses are your assumptions. Retain the stop, sizing and cost inputs used to derive each amount elsewhere.

Criterion 2

Multiple trade records

Count each open plan once and preserve trade identity. A partial execution is not automatically a separate risk plan.

Criterion 3

Stop execution rules

A stop trigger is not a guaranteed stop fill. Review the actual provider's order behavior when interpreting the total.

Criterion 4

External cash flows

Equity and planned amounts need the same currency and account scope. Deposits change the denominator without reducing an individual plan.

Criterion 5

Printable review

Export the supplied trade amounts and total for later review. Do not label a planning worksheet an audited execution record.

5. TradingView

Charting and data reference

Export loaded chart data as CSV.Loaded chart data is a reference input. For this task, check separate trade plans and aggregate planned losses in one currency; a chart export does not establish complete account or execution records.Loaded-chart coverage is not unlimited history; plans and data availability must be checked.

Exchange documentation and records

Separate trade, ledger and balance records.Keep the assumptions for each open trade distinct from its eventual realized outcome.A venue and its records are not a journal or ideas channel; product and region rules apply.

Put the comparison to work

Enter positive equity and nonnegative planned loss amounts, all in one currency. The amount for each trade must come from your own plan. This tool does not size positions, calculate stops from prices, or estimate correlation between assets.

Three hypothetical trades have planned losses of 50, 75 and 25 USD. Their combined planned risk is 150 USD. Against 5,000 USD of equity, that is 3%. The calculation adds the supplied plans; it does not offset one trade against another or promise execution at each stop.

Open Open Trades Planned Stop-Risk Worksheet

The total is a planning amount, not a guaranteed loss cap. Gaps, slippage, fees and order behavior can make realized losses different. Changing equity changes the percentage even when the planned currency amounts remain the same.
